“RPI KurskProm” LLC factory makes rubberizing of various products by the demand of the customer.

The surface, that is going to be rubberized, is cleaned from corrosion and dirt and washed with gasoline, then an ebonite layer spread with special glue is put on the surface, and a layer of soft rubber is put on the ebonite so that the total depth of rubber coating would be from 3 mm to 5 mm. The glued layers of ebonite and rubber are carefully smoothed out and after that the rubberized product is put into the autoclave where it is exposed to the impact of the direct steam with the pressure from 2 to 3 atmospheres.

Creating new types of rubberized cover on the basis of the standard rubber or creating the new rubber compounds and glue, the new regimes of vulcanization are developed. Therefore, besides the nature of rubber and glue, the characters of the rubberized product, the depth and the weight of metal and desired depth of the coating are also considered. For products with wide wall, the vulcanization regime is set up in such way that the first stage of vulcanization would continue for longer time that allows to heat the metal better. The time lag at high pressure is shortened because after finishing the vulcanization regime, the coating will be vulcanized with the heat given by the metall. The vulcanization reaction is an exothermal process and if the depth of the coating is large (for ebonite over 12 mm and for the soft rubber of more than 25 mm) it may be overvulcanized with an additional heat created inside the cover itself. In case of rubberizing with the soft rubber with an ebonite underlayer, the products are cooled with water.
